About the UKBPA
The UKBPA was a brain storm to try and help groups pull together, share resources and find locations that are not ripping the paranormal communities off. This is our first official website, although we've been hosted on such sites as freewebs, free forums and Paranormal Times, we've now found a new and permanent home and you’re more than welcome to stay with us. Information can also be located at:http://paranormaltimes.co.uk/ukbpa/

The British Paranormal Association is a voluntary organization and a none commercial organization, that works with policies and offers a free service to all, our morals are to help and show others that by working as one we can then start to tidy up and all work on getting equal rights, building a code of ethics, dealing with ongoing problems etc,

We're not here to govern the paranormal nor dictate any ones purpose or conduct; we're simply here to offer an alternative to growing issues which are constantly occurring within the paranormal field. We believe our rules of conduct and code of ethics is what makes us different, we not only believe in the work we do, we also stand by it. Unfortunately
we don't represent all groups or individuals, we only represent members of the BPA, that wish for a change, to see something be done for the better.

All member of the British Paranormal Association will carry a badge logo on their home page as well as various other locations of their choosing on their own site, this will show the public they also believe in the same rules of conduct and code of ethics.

Our Goals

First is to work with other like minded individuals and groups out there wishing on offering there knowledge understanding and compassion towards the paranormal world, therefore using the member site to chat discuss and openly talk among others.

Second is to offer venues and commercial or non-commercial a point of contact so we all have a place to iron out problems, therefore turning it around by offer support or advice to all.

Third is to locate low cost or free locations and share them among all our members of the BPA, therefore working with trust and honesty and building a solid relationship with other members and venues, IE working on projects, nights out, and fundraising, putting back into the comity.

Forth is to attempt negotiations with locations whom over charge or refuse access due to having their own contracts with commercial paranormal organisations, and discussions with the ones that have had bad experiences in the pass with commercial or non-commercial entering their site whereby they had to closes the doors.

Quote:
When entering and join the BPA we are not in any shape of form concerned if you are a none commercial or commercial, we only need to know what cartages’ to place you under as a members. Therefore you can deicide which one you feel you are before signing up to become a member , you may also change your status at any point in the future.

Commercial & None Commercial

The differentiate between commercial and none commercial a commercial group will be one is to make money therefore and must be registered as a business or sole trader, a not-for-profit group which take funds either from donations or investigations or any other means must be registered as a not-for-profit group and possibly have a registered charity number either way you are accountable for your funds.

None Commercial

A none-commercial group would be one that neither takes money or chargers for people to attend, the will also take no donations, if they do then they could fall under a not-for-profit organisation or charity and as such should be registered to do so A non-commercial group may however split the cost of entrance to a location, or snacks on location, they may also pool funds for shared equipment, however they must not profit from this in any form
